Yonnatan “Jonathan” Savitsky, 21, was an elite Egoz commando soldier nearing the end of his military service. On October 7, his team was sent south to retake the Kissufim IDF outpost after Hamas terrorists overran it. Jonathan fought for about seven hours, helping rescue and protect roughly 50 soldiers and civilians trapped at the base. He was killed in the battle.
