Aanand Sah
25 years old
Aanand Sah, 25, came from Sapahi village in Nepal’s Dhanusha district and was remembered as his family’s hope for a better future. He traveled to Israel as an agricultural student in the “Learn and Earn” program, combining practical farm work with studies in modern agriculture. Aanand had arrived only a few weeks before October 7 and was living at Kibbutz Alumim with other Nepali students. When the attack began, the group sought shelter together. Aanand was wounded during the assault and later killed. He is remembered as a young man who had traveled far from home to learn, work and build possibilities for himself and the family who placed such hope in him.
