Staff Sgt. Adi Danan, 20, of Yavne, was a Givati squad commander remembered for his sparkling eyes, wide smile and rolling laugh. His mother described him as sensitive, loving and always ready to help, while his twin sister Linoy said he was the light of their home and a protective brother. Adi loved music and singing, even singing in languages he did not understand. He had recently completed a commanders course and wanted to be a supportive leader for his soldiers. He celebrated his 20th birthday on October 8 while serving in the war and was killed in battle days later.
