Amiram Cooper

Amiram, 85, was one of the young pioneers who helped found Kibbutz Nir Oz. A farmer and economist, he earned advanced degrees in agricultural economics and later completed a doctorate after retirement. He was also a prolific poet and composer who published poetry, plays and children’s books; a song he wrote for Nir Oz became part of the kibbutz’s celebrations for decades.
