Meitar
Amit Haim Cohen, of Meitar, was the fourth of five siblings and was known for instinctively helping people around him. His brother Yarden remembered how Amit constantly brought new friends home and seemed able to connect with everyone, while never speaking badly about others. At Nova, that same instinct to protect others remained with him: as he and friends escaped in a crowded car, Amit helped others inside and positioned himself over them to shield them from gunfire. His family remembers his kindness, compassion and habit of putting others first.
