Moshav Netiv HaAsara
Amit Wachs, 48, of Netiv Ha’asara, was an Israeli-American father of three, retired Shin Bet operative and member of his community’s local security team. A Shin Bet eulogy remembered him as disciplined, highly motivated, responsible, hardworking and modest — someone colleagues said could be relied on completely. On October 7, Amit and his older brother Igal both went out to defend the community they loved. Amit was killed in a gun battle with Hamas terrorists. The brothers were laid to rest after back-to-back funerals.
