Andrey Poshivay, 39, of Beersheba, was an Israel Police officer and skilled marksman who was working security at the Supernova music festival on October 7. Armed only with a pistol, he confronted Hamas terrorists carrying assault rifles and managed to stop several attackers before he was mortally wounded. He was remembered for his calm confidence, courage and professionalism.
