Andrei, 39, from Ofakim, grew up in a traditional Bukharian Jewish family and immigrated to Israel with his family about 25 years before October 7. He was remembered as cheerful, smiling and athletic, a tough boxer who loved the National Geographic channel. He had served as a tank technician, worked in home renovations and was planning to marry. During the attack, he went into the street and was killed near his family home.
