Aner Elyakim Shapiro

Aner Elyakim Shapiro, 22, of Jerusalem, was an off-duty Nahal reconnaissance soldier, musician and artist attending the Supernova festival with friends. When they took shelter near Re’im and terrorists began throwing grenades inside, unarmed Aner stood at the entrance and repeatedly caught and threw them back out. He managed to throw back seven grenades before another exploded and killed him, helping save lives inside the shelter.
