Ariel Eliyahu, 19, of Mitzpe Yeriho, was an Armored Corps soldier remembered for baking cookies for his friends. Less than two weeks after finishing training, his tank crew was sent into battle when Hamas invaded on October 7. They fought several groups of attackers near the Gaza border until an anti-tank missile struck their tank, killing Ariel.
