Ariel Erez, 19, of Moshav Amka, was a Golani soldier, soccer fan and devoted son whose family remembered his sparkling eyes and playful spirit. Stationed at the Erez Crossing on October 7, Ariel and the other outnumbered soldiers fought back when Hamas terrorists stormed the border post. He was killed in the battle alongside several fellow soldiers.
