Kibbutz Nir Yitzhak
Lior, 61, from Kibbutz Nir Yitzhak, was a mechanic expert, traffic-safety professional, longtime local security-team member and volunteer Magen David Adom ambulance driver. Born in Argentina, he moved to Israel as a child and spent most of his life in the kibbutz. His family remembered his blue eyes, rolling laugh, dad jokes, directness and, above all, his huge heart.
Authorities determined today (Tuesday, 7 May 2024) that Lior Rudaeff, 61, of Kibbutz Nir Yitzhak, who was previously considered to be in captivity in Gaza, was in fact murdered in the October 7 Hamas massacre and his body abducted to Gaza, where it is currently being held.
