Avraham Hankin, 38, of Alon, was a devoted father of four and a veteran commander in Israel’s Yamam counter-terrorism unit. He grew up in Jerusalem, attended Chabad schools and studied at Ateret HaCohanim in the Old City before serving in the IDF Paratroopers Brigade. Avraham joined the Israel Police in 2008 and spent more than fifteen years in Yamam, earning respect as a courageous and dependable leader who cared deeply for the people serving beside him. Friends remembered his friendly nature and ability to connect with everyone. He was also deeply devoted to his children, Eitan, Talia, Yael and Gili.
