Avshalom “Avshal” Haran, 66, was an economist, philanthropist and central figure in Kibbutz Be’eri. He served as CEO of the Kibbutz Economies Group and held leadership roles in Be’eri, where colleagues credited him with helping the community achieve major economic successes. Family and friends remembered him as smart, charismatic, generous and always ready to help — a devoted father and grandfather who touched many lives.
