Bilha Epstein, 81, was a longtime resident and community elder of Kibbutz Kfar Aza. She and her husband Amos had lived on the kibbutz for more than 50 years and held many roles in the community. A lifelong learner, Bilha loved curiosity, exploration and knowledge. In retirement she devoted herself to artistic pursuits including photography, sculpture and painting, often photographing family, friends and people she encountered with warmth and affection. She was the mother of Hadas, Ori and Vered and a grandmother to nine. Bilha was murdered at the entrance to her home on October 7. Two grandsons, Netta Epstein and Nitzan Libstein, and her son-in-law Ofir Libstein were also killed that day.
