Chen Ben Avi, 23, of Mivtahim, dreamed of traveling around the world. She was the oldest of four children and is survived by her parents, Oshrit and Moshe, and her younger siblings Noam, Yael and Shai. On October 7, Chen attended the Supernova festival with close friends. They managed to flee the festival and came within a short distance of Chen’s home before terrorists ambushed them near the Mivtahim junction. Chen and her friends were murdered together. Her family remembers a young woman with plans to see the world and a future that should have stretched far beyond that morning.
