Daniel “Dandi” Peled, 28, lived with his family in Kibbutz Kfar Aza. A paramedic and personal trainer, he dreamed of studying medicine and was remembered by friends and family as funny, charismatic and full of light. He especially loved gummy candy, inspiring friends to memorialize him by placing bowls of candy with notes telling his story. On October 7, Hamas terrorists murdered Daniel in his home together with his parents, Izhar and Gila. The three were laid to rest side by side.
