Daniela “Dana” Petrenko, 23, of Haifa, was remembered as a loving daughter, sister and devoted partner. She and her boyfriend, Daniel Goltman, were described by friends as inseparable and were rarely seen apart. The couple attended the Nova festival together. During their escape, Dana suffered a panic attack and froze; Daniel stayed with her and tried to protect her with his body. They were murdered together and later found embracing. Dana is survived by her mother Olga, stepfather Roman and younger siblings Iris and Anton, as well as the friends who remembered the couple’s extraordinary closeness.
