Dror, 68, was the son of Holocaust survivors and grew up in Kibbutz Ruhama. After military service, he studied economics and later helped several kibbutzim navigate the transition from collective to privatized communities. He had only recently retired and spent his time reading, exercising, cooking healthy meals and enjoying his five grandchildren. His family remembered his kindness, generosity, honesty and calm presence.
Dror Kaplun, 68, of Kibbutz Be’eri – Originally reported missing, he was murdered on 7 October and his body abducted to Gaza by the terrorists. His family was informed of his death on December 7.
