Dror Or

Dror, 48, was a Kibbutz Be’eri cheesemaker, talented cook, yoga instructor and father of three. He studied cheesemaking in Italy and France and helped develop the kibbutz dairy while also running a catering business. Family and colleagues remembered his “golden touch,” inner calm, love of travel and basketball, and the reassuring feeling that when Dror arrived, everything would be okay.

Dror Or, 49, of Kibbutz Be’eri, was murdered during the terrorist attack on the kibbutz on October 7, 2023, and his body abducted to the Gaza Strip. Initially assumed to have been captured alive, the security forces later confirmed that he was murdered during the terrorist attack. His family was notified of his murder on May 3, 2024. Dror’s body was held in Hamas captivity until he was returned to Israel in accordance with the October 2025 agreement, on November 25, 2025.
