Edan Baruch, 20, of Kibbutz Be’eri, was an IDF soldier and beloved younger brother whose family was together in the kibbutz when the October 7 attack began. As Hamas terrorists overran Be’eri, Edan left the family safe room and tried to reach his brother Sahar. He was murdered during the attack, as was their grandmother Geula Bachar. Sahar was taken hostage to Gaza.
