Eliran Abergel, 29, was an Israel Police officer and expectant father. When the October 7 attack began, he immediately left a holiday visit in Tiberias and headed south to join his comrades. Eliran volunteered to be among the first officers entering devastated Kibbutz Be’eri. Their armored jeep was struck by an RPG, but he continued fighting after getting out. Eliran was killed in the battle and never learned that his wife was carrying their son.
