Eliyahu, 72, was a father, grandfather, lifelong learner and volunteer. Through Road to Recovery, he drove Palestinian patients from Gaza border crossings to Israeli hospitals for medical treatment. Friends and teachers remembered his extraordinary curiosity, youthful enthusiasm and thirst for knowledge, and his willingness to travel widely to learn with people who held different views.
