Emma Poliakov, 83, of Ofakim, was a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who immigrated to Israel from Russia in 1991 with her husband and two daughters. She studied engineering at the Technion, worked as a bookkeeper for an insurance company and loved to sing in choirs. On October 7, Emma went to her building’s bomb shelter during the rocket fire. As she returned to her apartment, Hamas terrorists shot and murdered her at the entrance to her home.
