Fatma Abu Arar Altlakat was a mother of nine from the Bedouin town of Ar’ara in the Negev. On October 7, she was traveling to Ofakim for work with her husband and baby daughter when the attack began. The family separated while trying to find safety. Fatma was murdered, while her husband and baby survived. Her cousin remembered her as an extraordinary woman and mother, and her community was devastated by the loss. She is remembered above all for her devotion to her children and the family she left behind.
