Grace Cabrera, 45, was a Filipina caregiver living and working in Kibbutz Be’eri, where she cared for 95-year-old Aviva Sela. When Hamas terrorists attacked on October 7, Grace stayed with her patient rather than abandoning her. Aviva survived, and her family credited Grace with protecting her life. TOI reported that Grace was likely taken captive and later shot; her body was recovered on October 19. She was remembered by Aviva’s family for her devotion and courage.
