Hanna “Hani” Sitton, 73, of Hod Hasharon, traveled with her husband Yitzhak and son Tal to Kibbutz Be’eri to spend Simhat Torah with her sister, Pessi Cohen, and mark the anniversary of Pessi’s husband’s death. Family remembered Hani with affection for the recipes she shared, including her famous brownies. During the Hamas attack, the family members were taken hostage and forced into Pessi’s home. Hani was killed there amid the ensuing violence and firefight.
