Havik (Hava) Segal, 78, made her home in Netiv HaAsara and was the mother of Tzur, Ron and Hela and a grandmother to Uri and Yaara. Her family later chose to preserve her memory through creativity: her home in the moshav became a gathering place for workshops and events in different artistic fields. On October 7, when the sirens began, Havik went to a nearby public shelter because her house did not have a safe room. She spoke with her grandchildren during the attack. Her children tried desperately to reach and protect her, but Havik was murdered in the shelter.
