Ashdod
Ilay Noam Ben Mucha, 20, of Ashdod, was a Golani soldier remembered for his generosity, warmth and devotion to his family. When Hamas terrorists attacked the Kissufim outpost on October 7, Noam first made sure the observation soldiers were in a safer place, then grabbed two weapons and rushed to the base gate. He and fellow soldier David Mittelman fought dozens of attackers, buying crucial time for other soldiers to arm themselves. Both were killed in the battle.
