Ilay Zisser, 27, was a Sayeret Matkal officer, newlywed and elite fighter who loved nature, running, music and learning. Called to the front on October 7, Ilay joined a small team of nine commandos who were among the first Israeli forces to enter the besieged Kibbutz Kfar Aza. Vastly outnumbered, they fought Hamas terrorists inside the community. Ilay was killed in the battle alongside three fellow officers.
