Israel Amichai Weitzen, 33, of Kibbutz Kerem Shalom, was a husband, devoted father of five, educator and member of the kibbutz security team. When Hamas terrorists invaded on October 7, Amichai left his family in their safe room and joined the defense. He fought for hours alongside his friend Yedidya Raziel and was killed after they confronted terrorists inside a family home. Their stand helped save the rest of the kibbutz.
