Itay, 53, was the father of Hadar, Tomer and Sagi and part of a close, warm family in Kibbutz Kissufim. A former lone soldier who was welcomed into the Zak home remembered Itay and Etti as extraordinarily warm people who treated him like family from his first day. Their children said their parents taught them to love life and the land of Israel.
Died in the family safe room during the October 7 attack in Kissufim
