Lavi Shmuel Megged Buchnik, 20, of Peduim, was a Paratroopers soldier, volunteer firefighter and devoted friend known for putting others before himself. On October 7, his squad commander’s course was rushed south to confront the Hamas invasion. Lavi fought terrorists along the roads and inside Kibbutz Kissufim. Even after being wounded, he continued fighting until he was killed defending the kibbutz.
