Mai, 22, from Moshav Gan Haim, was the granddaughter of veteran Israeli soccer coach Shlomo Sharaf. She decided at the last minute to attend the Supernova music festival. When the attack began, Mai sought refuge in nearby Kibbutz Be’eri. Hamas terrorists pursued her there and murdered her. Her death was among those mourned across Israel’s sports community in the days after the October 7 attack.
