Margarita “Rita” Gusak, 21, of Gan Yavne, was a gifted artist and aspiring doctor. Both of her parents were physicians, and Rita dreamed of following them into medicine; the entrance-exam result that would have allowed her to pursue that dream arrived just three days after October 7. In high school she took part in a STEM program and led her school’s robotics team, while also sharing her paintings and drawings as a talented artist. Friends remembered her as exceptionally intelligent, creative and thoughtful. Rita and her boyfriend, Simon Vigdergaus, were murdered while trying to flee the Supernova festival.
