Mark Mordechai Peretz, 51, from Rishon Lezion, was a deputy director at the Freshmarket supermarket chain and a devoted husband and father of three. His family remembered him as protective, dependable and the person everyone called when they needed help. On October 7, after learning that his daughter Maya was trapped at Supernova, Mark drove south to try to rescue her despite his family pleading with him to turn back. He was murdered by Hamas terrorists near the festival. Maya survived.
