Max Rabinov, 21, of Ashdod, was a surveillance-balloon operator in the Border Defense Corps’s 414th unit who loved learning new things. When Hamas terrorists stormed the Erez Crossing on October 7, Max and fellow soldiers tried to reach safety and defend the post. He was struck by gunfire while heading toward the war room and died from his wounds when help could not reach him.
