Mazal “Mazi” Bachar, 62, was a single mother, longtime educator and devoted plant lover. Raised in Kiryat Yam, she studied education at Oranim College and settled in Kibbutz Be’eri after becoming a teacher there. She later worked as a medical secretary and in the kibbutz shop, and was remembered for her green thumb and love of flowers.
