Meir Malka, 78, was born in Morocco as one of ten siblings and immigrated to Israel as a child. After serving in the IDF, he worked in Eilat’s hotel industry and later became a construction contractor, spending years on projects in Africa. A devoted father and grandfather, Meir moved to Sderot to be near his youngest daughter, Ortal, and lovingly cared for his dog, Kika. His children remembered him as generous and nonjudgmental, someone who quietly gave to charity and made sure that family members—and even strangers—never went without.
