Mor Meir, 17, grew up in Kibbutz Nirim and was a high-school student remembered by neighbors as a cheerful, lively girl. The night before October 7, she had dinner at a neighbor’s home and stayed up talking with a friend until 3 a.m. Mor was the daughter of Doron and Thess and sister of Shelly; the family had earlier endured the loss of another child, Shalev, before his first birthday. Mor and her father Doron were murdered together in their home on October 7. Her teachers and community continue to remember the teenager whose life was woven into Nirim.
