Mordehai (Modi) Amir
Kibbutz Kfar Azza
Mordechai “Modi” Amir, 67, was a longtime Kibbutz Kfar Aza resident who studied biology and later built a career in computers, including 20 years at IBM. His family remembered a smart, practical, funny and resourceful man who loved working with his hands and doing things himself. On October 7, Modi used that same quick thinking to protect his daughters and granddaughter when terrorists entered his home.
