Naor Hassidim, 23, of Ashdod, had been with his partner Sivan Elkabetz since they were 16. The young couple shared a small apartment in Kfar Aza’s young-adults neighborhood and were together there on October 7. As gunfire moved closer, they sheltered in their safe room and exchanged messages with Sivan’s father, eventually hiding under the bed as attackers reached their home. Both were murdered in the apartment and later buried side by side in Ashdod. Their home was subsequently turned into a family-created memorial exhibition preserving photographs, messages and memories of their years together. Naor is remembered through the love and life he shared with Sivan.
