Nathan Lyard, 20, was a French-Israeli Kfir Brigade soldier, music lover and religious student remembered for his courage and cheerful spirit. He was wounded while fighting Hamas terrorists near Gaza on October 7 and was being evacuated by ambulance when they encountered more attackers. Nathan insisted on getting out and returning to the battle. He was wounded again and later died from his injuries.
