Omer Wolf, 22, of Kibbutz Givat Haim Meuhad, was a beloved Golani commander known for his quiet leadership and deep devotion to his soldiers. On October 7, Omer and three comrades were among the first soldiers to encounter the Hamas invasion near the Gaza border. They fought for more than an hour at multiple locations, delaying the attack on Nirim. Omer was killed after continuing to fight until nearly all his ammunition was gone.
