Omer Zadikevitch, 50, was an IT specialist in Kibbutz Kfar Aza with a deep love of surfing. He managed communications systems for the Sha’ar HaNegev region and was expected to report to the regional council’s emergency war room during escalations. On October 7, after sheltering during the rocket fire, Omer left his home with a backpack to head toward the war room. Home-camera footage recorded him leaving at 7:16 a.m. His family believes Hamas terrorists shot and murdered him minutes later near his car.
