Or Moses, 22, of Ashdod, was a Home Front Command officer who had dreamed since childhood of meaningful combat service. When Hamas terrorists attacked the Zikim training base on October 7, Or and other commanders sent the young recruits into shelter and went out to fight. Their stand prevented the base from being overrun and saved many trainees. Or was killed in the battle.
