Oran Alfasi, 22, of Rehovot, worked at the high-tech company Check Point and loved the ocean and surfing. His family remembered his captivating smile, his love for others and the values of peace and kindness with which he was raised. On October 7, Oran was visiting his girlfriend at Kibbutz Nirim when terrorists tried to enter their reinforced room. He held the door closed to protect her and was shot through it; his girlfriend survived. His sister remembered him as her “guardian angel,” someone who always protected the people he loved.
