Orel Pesso, 26, of Kiryat Yam, spent part of his childhood in Queens, New York, before returning to Israel as a teenager. Cheerful, kind and easygoing, he quickly made friends and was deeply devoted to his parents and two younger brothers, who described him as the “glue” that held the family together. Music was central to Orel’s life: raised on trance music, he developed a talent for creating electronic music, bought DJ equipment and dreamed of becoming a professional DJ. His family remembered his warmth, respect for others and the especially close bond he shared with his mother.
