Ori Karmi, 20, of Rishon Lezion, was a Golani soldier remembered for his huge heart, joy and especially the love he shared with his little sister. When Hamas attacked the Nahal Oz base on October 7, Ori ran to the entrance, realized the scale of the invasion and rushed back to warn his fellow soldiers. He and his comrades fought the attackers until their ammunition ran out, and Ori was killed in the battle.
