Oriel Bibi, 30, of Shlomit, was a career IDF officer in the Paratroopers Brigade, husband and father of two who was studying medicine. Called up when the October 7 attack began, he headed toward his base to arm himself and join the fighting. At the Ma’on Junction he encountered Hamas terrorists, was shot in the neck, tied a tourniquet on himself and continued fighting until he succumbed to his wounds.
